Instruction to proceed
Once you have reviewed our quotation and give us instruction to proceed, we will assign a project leader to take over your project. This will be your point of contact throughout the whole project.
Survey
A detailed and accurate set of drawings to pick up the site in its context is an essential part to the design process. A measured survey would be carried out by us or by a specialist surveyor when appropriate.
Architectural design
The design process is usually the most exciting part for both client and designer. This is essentially where all of the ideas start to take form. Often the design process starts with a number of drafts based around the initial ideas set out by the client. Each of the drafts are reviewed and tweaked until a finalised design has been produced to satisfaction.
Planning
Once a finalised design has been agreed the next stage is to obtain the necessary planning consents. Our planning consultants have extensive experience working with planning policies. Their experience and willingness to communicate with the council has favoured a high success rate of planning applications.
Technical design
The key to any successful construction project is great technical design. Our designers are skilled in both architectural design and technical drawing. This means that from the very start of the initial drafts we can ensure buildability and compliance to building regulations. This saves both time and money throughout the duration of the project.
Construction
The next stage of the project is to appoint a building contractor and create a construction programme to suit your needs. We offer extensive services at this stage which are tailored to suit each client. We can assist with the tendering process, hold meetings with building contractors on your behalf & we can even carry out site visits to ensure work is being carried out to the best quality and in line with the project programme.
